It was recently reported that a massive Van Halen tribute project could have been in the works. This proposed project would have seen the likes of David Lee Roth, Alex Van Halen along with Metallica’s Jason Newsted, and legendary rock guitarist Joe Satriani. This would have led to a tribute tour, which Newsted turned down because he felt it wouldn’t live up to the legacy of Van Halen.
